A Little About Me

Hello. Welcome to my blog! My name is Amanda Hunter, and I am a Wife, Mommy, and Photographer. :) I created this blog, so that everyone can see what I have been up to, and also to post a few of my pictures that I have taken. I am hoping to have my website up and running within the next few months. Currently, we have been busy with family and friends, and it's taking me a little longer than expected to get everything done on the website. But I am hoping to get it all done as soon as possible. But for now... here's a brief story of me. :)

I was born and raised here in Tennessee. And I love it here! The scenery, the people, the relaxing feel, it is amazing here. In 2003, I had my son Jaylin. His father passed away before Jaylin was born. But in 2005, I reconnected with my now husband, Drew.  And we have been together every day since. Drew and I have known eachother for around 10 years, and dated on and off, always remaining the best of friends.. He is the best thing that ever could have happened to my son and I.
We had our daughter, Haley, in September 2008, and we were married in December 2008. We had an extremely small wedding. We only had our children, Drew's brother, and my sister there, as well as the preacher. But we wanted it that way. We didn't want to go through the stress of planning a wedding, who to invite, the cake, and all of that. But we decided early on, that we would eventually renew our vows, and have an actual wedding, for everyone to attend.

Our children are the greatest gifts on Earth. We wake up every morning, and go to sleep everynight for our children. They truly mean the world to us. Jaylin is my little Prince. :) He keeps things entertaining, and can always make you smile.
And Haley is my little Princess. She is always into something, and always laughing.

Also, I have 2 more "Children". lol. Layla is my Shi Tzu/Chihuahua mix dog. She is a true diva! She apparently thinks she is a big dog, and can take on anything. She will be 5 years old in July, 2011. Yes, she is very little, but her attitude definantly make up for her size. :)
And we have a cat named Mya. She is a cat that only wants to be affectionate when it is convenient for her, which isn't very often. Most of the time, she just lives in her own little world. lol. Although, when these two decide to play (usually when Mya thinks Layla's tail is a toy and wants to attack it) things around my apartment get very interesting. These 2 could chase eachother around in circles in my livingroom for hours. lol

So as you can tell, I love photography! I have practicing photography since mid 2009, and am still loving everything about it. Photography for me isn't just another hobby. It is definantly a passion! I love going out and taking photos of nature, of people, different places we go, animals, everything! It is amazing to see different subjects through a camera lens, and then sharing your photos. A lot of people ask me "What made you think to take that photo?" or say "The way you captured this is amazing!" And honestly, I have to say, photography has made me see things in a different perspective. I notice the things that most people never think of, or never pay attention to. And, I have noticed that a lot of "photographers" take a photo, and then completely change the image using photo editing programs. Personally, I don't like to do much to my photos. I already love the way I took the photos, so why mess with them? Occasionally I do use an editing program to remove blemishes, or if the lighting didn't turn out right, I might enhance the lighting in the photos, but I never completely change my photos. To me, they turn out exactly how I saw them when I snapped the photo. Now Drew on the other hand, lol..... when he gets bored at the end of the night, and feels like "playing around" with a few photos, he will. And I have to say, the photos he creates are amazing! Here is one he worked on a few weeks ago......

He took an image of Haley that we had taken months ago, and put her into a bubble. I have to say, I do love this one! But these types of photos are ones that we only do for fun. This type of photo might happen 1 time, and then not again for a long time. But we also don't do this to every single photo I take... because then, it wouldn't be my photo anymore... right?!! lol
So now, I leave you with this. A photo of my wonderful little family.
Thank you for visiting my blog! Hope to see you again soon. :)
